Lead Carpenter/ Project Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Must be willing to perform all phases of carpentry work on high-end residential remodels (this is a “bags-on” role)
  • Direct and manage all sub-contractors and vendors on the job
  • Run weekly client meetings
  • Manage and communicate the overall job schedule and job budget
  • Oversee job site safety and provide necessary gear and equipment
  • Mentor and train staff and workers to meet the highest performance standards
  • Produce regular reports to both clients and Empire management to keep job on schedule and on budget
  • Ability to diagnose installation errors and provide quick and effective corrective action
  • Demonstrate sense of immediacy and strive for supreme customer satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

  • 5+ years of hands on carpentry experience in residential remodeling, preferably high-end jobs
  • Ability to read, interpret, and explain blueprints
  • Clean driving record and valid drivers license
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Team player attitude and ability to take and implement suggestions
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to physically perform the work required for construction
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Project
  • Co+Construct experience is a plus
  • Ability to do online searches and comparisons for quality products and materials
  • Knowledge of the standard sequence of work in remodeling projects
  • Basic knowledge of all trades working on jobsites, such as drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring, roofing, etc.
  • Ability to discuss job details, financial arrangements, building codes with ease and clarity
  • Ability to foster the highest work ethic in co-workers and sub-contractors

Assistant Carpenter/ Laborer

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist Lead Carpenter in day to day tasks that move each project along
  • Daily clean up of projects
  • Load and drive the dump truck when necessary
  • Communicate with the homeowner about specific aspects of the project if necessary
  • Safely handle yourself in as phases of the construction process
  • Provide daily updates to leadership regarding tasks completed and plans for the following day
  • Keep diligent notes on time spent and miles driven

Qualifications Include: 

  • 1-2 years of construction experience
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in the residential remodeling business
  • Ability to take initial direction and work independently
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license
  • Strong communication skills
  • Tech savvy (Co+Construct experience is a plus!)
  • Team Player, with a keen eye for detail and organization
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to dive into any project
